Rewilding to See The Big Picture
Reeling from the widespread nature depletion across Scotland, 'Scotland: The Big Picture', has set out to rewrite natures story by making rewilding happen. The projects encompass rewilding efforts at many different levels, and strive to work with a diverse range of people to help protect people and planet. Their vision is one which encourages biodiversity and an abundance of wildlife, as well as having a nature-based economy which thrives at a community level. Rewilding is an important part in our fight against climate change as it encourages natural processes to take place without the need for continuous human intervention. When land is managed too stringently, it can actually be detrimental to the different entities and natural processes which would have continued untouched. Rewilding is an approach which encourages naturally functioning ecosystems and improves our relationship with the land.
